Drawing of a palace with porticoes
Where: Manuscript B, folio 36 Year: 1497-1490

The folio, probably dating from between 1487 and 1490, contains the drawing of an elegant palace. In the short note, in the top right-hand corner, Leonardo explains that the width of the roads around it must be equal to the height of the 'palazzo' itself. The latter should be designed with porticoes and large windows on all floors. On the lower part of the folio, there are three other drawings of various subjects: a lever lifting a weight, a lever and cart with an annotation.
