Stable for horses

The detail of the relief model reproduces Leonardo's idea of the layout and organisation of a stable for horses. The layout was considered a most important factor in order to provide a suitable environment for these animals which were employed for both military and civilian purposes and whose role was vital to the very life of the city. Three arcades divide the space of the lower section, while fresh air was ensured through the large arc-shaped openings on the outer wall.
