Split-trail gun carriage

This model is an example of a split-trail gun carriage, which is very innovative and interesting because it features a traversing mechanism (in the turning of a gun to change the direction of fire), which allows greater angles of elevation. The gun can be rotated quickly both horizontally (via guidance system) and vertically (via a pin gear). This helps guide the weapon to the target.
