Biography
Giovanni
Caprara, a journalist and writer, is the editor in chief of Corriere
della Sera’s scientific editorial office. In 2000, he won the “ConScientia”
Prize (best scientific journalist) awarded jointly by four Milan Universities:
Statale, Bocconi, Politecnico and Cattolica. In 1984, he was awarded
the Glaxo-CEE Prize for science popularization. In 2000, Harvard University
International Astronomical Union named “Giovanni Caprara” a small planet
orbiting between Mars and Jupiter in recognition of his astronomical
and space popularization activity at international level. He has authored
many essays, articles, books, speeches and books translated into English,
German and Spanish and which won him several international awards.
