Automatic striker
The model represents one of Leonardo's ideas for lighting repeatedly
the charge of a firearm. It is one of the most beautiful drawings on
this subject, well defined and full of details. The device consists
of a spiral spring connected to an upper wheel by an articulated chain.
When the wheel turns, it rubs against the flint stone (on the left)
generating a spark. The trigger is on the right. The articulated three-mesh
chain is magnified and rebuilt on the side.
