Cannon with screw elevating gear
This is one of the three firearms drawn by Leonardo on the same folio.
It comprises a very easily manoeuvrable carriage mounted on wheels,
and its elevation can be adjusted in height by means of a screw. This
gun, which is front-loaded and has a bronze muzzle, was meant to be
used in field action by infantrymen.
