Circular thunderbolt

This model, defined by Leonardo "Cicumfolgore" (circular thunderbolt), was designed for ship decks: twelve medium-size cannons – possibly already breech-loading ones – are placed symmetrically on a rotating platform. They can be fired by one single person. With this device Leonardo hopes to increase the firing speed in sea battles.
