For the 500 years from Leonardo da Vinci’s death, the Museum presents to the world the most recent interpretations of the work by the Tuscan Master as technologist and engineer.
In 2019, the historical Leonardo Gallery with which the Museum opened in 1953, will be completely transformed. The New Leonardo Galleries will host a spectacular and immersive permanent exhibition at the heart of the Museum.
The New Leonardo Galleries and the rich cultural program that will accompany their preparation and opening are part of the Leonardo Global Initiative, an ambitious project aiming to develop a worldwide communication about the important legacy of Da Vinci’s work in a society based on science and innovation.
