We were born in 1953 from a great idea, which was visionary then as it is still today.
"The Museum is alive, it belongs to everyone and is open to everyone. Nowadays the world goes on at a vertiginous pace, and we are all in search of the reasons for it and of its possibilities. The Museum lives, it is the Museum of the World’s Becoming ".

The institution
We are the largest museum of science and technology in Italy, one of the most important ones in Europe and in the world.
History of the Museum
The history of the Museum tells the story, year for year, of the Sempione International Exhibition from 1906 to the present.
The departments
Each department develops studies and researches on its collections, it designs and proposes thematic exhibitions and educational activities, it promotes conferences and workshops.
Collections
The Museum preserves, studies and interprets the historic heritage to make it accessible to the public. This heritage comprises the collections, the archive and the library.
Informal education
All our educational activities are based on an informal approach and our objective is to make you the protagonist.
