World Biotech Tour: the Italian stop hosted at the Museum
30 September - 2 October

The World Biotech Tour (WBT) is a multi-year initiative supported by the Association of Science-Technology Centers (ASTC) and Biogen Foundation, which chose the Museum as location for the Italian edition of the festival.
For the project, the Museum has organised a three-day festival on biotechnologies open to families and adults (from 30 September to 2 October 2016), with the involvement of researchers, schools and students who have already worked together with Museum in the previous months.

Students involved in the project and their research

Four secondary school classes were accompanied by industry researchers to investigate specific research on biotechnology (environmental, health, and industry applications).

Students have also worked with the staff of the Museum on the communication with the public, preparing experiments to be presented during the three-day festival on biotechnology (at the Museum from 30 September to 2 October 2016).

Watch the videos made by students and vote for your favourite by September 26.
One student from the winning class will represent Italy at WBT Global Summit in Tokyo in 2017.
The winning class will be nominated and receive the award in the course of the official opening event of the World Biotech Tour at the Museum, Friday, September 30 at 6:00pm.
