ENGINEER aims at the widespread adoption in Europe of innovative methods of science teaching in primary schools providing extensive teacher training on inquiry-based method. The project is based on Engineering is Elementary (EiE), the proven program developed by Boston‘s Museum of Science (BMOS) widely used in primary schools throughout the U.S.

ENGINEER‘s consortium features 26 institutions of formal and informal educational from 12 countries: 10 science museums and 10 schools, as well as universities and other organizations.

The outputs are:

- 10 different engineering challenges in 10 engineer disciplines for schools. Each challenge is developed by museums in collaboration with schools and supported with a kit of inexpensive materials for student-led design problem-solving.

- extensive training for about 1,000 teachers in all partners country.

- Museums programs for 27,000 children (student groups and families) based on the scientific disciplines through the problem solving and planning lens of engineering.
