Science Education as Tool
for Active Citizenship
The project is aimed at teachers, students and museum explainers. It explores the themes of Health, Energy and Climate Change. The Project stems from the European Project SMEC (School-Museum European Cooperation) that has developed resources and materials for science teaching through the use of museums as well as a European course for teachers and museum explainers.
One of the main objectives of the Project is that of exploring a new pedagogical methodology the can stimulate the interest of students in science and technology. The aim is to develop and disseminate a number of tools for the training of teachers, among which are a European course and a selection of activity to be conducted in schools and museums.
The partners of the Project belong to institutions that work in the field of formal and informal education (schools, museums, teacher training centres, universities).
