Groups
The Museum offers a large number of activities for organised English-speaking groups. These include activities in the interactive laboratories, the historical collections and guided tours around the Enrico Toti submarine.
Activities in the interactive laboratories
Science and technology is fun and exciting: in the 15 interactive laboratories, visitors can experience science at first hand. Discover themes such as robotics, biotechnologies and telecommunications, or soap bubble, colour, metals. The guide invites visitors to carry out activities for themselves, and leads the group as they describe and understand what they've observed.
Visits to the collections
Some 10,000 objects are amassed and kept in the Museum's collections: objects that present the evolution of science and technology, with a particular emphasis on Italy. The guide invites visitors to point out the main features of the exhibits, and come up with ideas on how they might work.
Guided tours of the submarine
The Toti was the first submarine to be built in Italy following the Second World War. Measuring 46 metres in length, she was launched in 1967. She covered 137,000 miles in the course of thirty years of service in the Mediterranean sea. During a guided tour on board, among the engine rooms, the sonars and the periscope, visitors can relive the emotions that the submarine crew felt during long periods at sea.
Group activities must be booked in advance.
