Activities

A visit to the Museum consists of guided tours of the collections and activities in the i.labs.

Visiting the collections

A guide will take you through an itinerary to discover a specific area of exhibits. We look at the main features of the objects on display, and come up with ideas on how they might work. Direct observation and historical accounts will help visitors gain an understanding of technology today and in the past. The activity is conducted in English.

Horizontal itineraries

A guide will take you through an itinerary across several exhibition areas, to explore the Museum following a broader theme. The activity is conducted in English.

Activities in the interactive laboratories (i.lab)

A leader will invite you to carry out hands-on activities in an area in which physical or chemical phenomena, production processes and theatrical activities take place. The leader will guided visitors to describe what they are seeing. Science is discovered and technology is reinvented through experiments and role-play. The activity is conducted in English.

Structure of the visit

For a more complete educational approach we suggest combining both of the experiences (i.lab and visit to the collections).

Activities can be structured in:

2 hours

Choosing from one of these three options:

• 2 hour visit to collections
• 2 hours of i.lab
• 1 hour visit to collections + 1 hour of i.lab

3 hours

Choosing from one of these two options:

• 2 hour visit to collections + 1 hour of i.lab
• 1 hour visit to collections + 2 hours of i.lab

Tue - Fri 9.30 - 16.30
Weekends 9.30 - 18.00

Laboratories

Tue - Fri 10.00 - 16.30
Sat 10.00 - 13.30

Cost of activities

Entrance ticket, always required
€ 7,00 per person

Educational activities in English (groups up to 25 people)
2 hours: € 100,00
3 hours: € 140,00

The price of the educational activities is the same for each kind of visit and/or laboratory except the following:

• i.lab Genetics & Biotechnologies- "DNA profile" option € 120,00
• i.lab Genetics & Biotechnologies -"DNA profile + Not just milk" option € 150,00
• i.lab Leonardo - " Leonardo's experiments" option € 90,00
• Enrico Toti submarine - "Ready for submersion" option € 120,00

The Museum reserves the right to make adjustments to the cost of the entrance tickets and the educational activities over the course of the year. The Museum's professional services are not subject to VAT pursuant to art. 10, paragraph 22 D.P.R. 633/72. Any administrative requests (e.g. invoice required) must be stated at time of booking.
