The
Hungarian Natural
History Museum
hosts a collection
of objects related
to Anthropology,
Botany, Mineralogy,
Paleontology
and Zoology.
Its
activities
include research
in the various
fields of natural
history, collection,
preservation
and conservation
of natural history
and science
history objects,
display and
learning activities
related to its
collections
in the scientific
fields.
It is
located in Budapest
and is visited
by 80.000 to
100.000 people
per year, 50%
of which are
pupils of kindergarden
and primary
schools.
The
museum employs
about 20 science
and education
experts who
are responsible
for courses
and educational
activities (and
also teach at
higher education
institutions
in Hungary).
It runs regular
courses, in-service
and postgraduate
courses addressing
kindergarten,
primary and
secondary school
teachers.
